Mission Statement
The mission of the California Northstate College of Medicine Surgical Interest Group (CNU SIG) is to cultivate interest in and promote learning about the surgical field. CNU SIG strives to aid in professional development, provide an outlet for community outreach, and establish stronger bonds between its members.
Primary Goals

Set up seminars with surgeons from various surgical fields in order to gain a deeper exposure and understanding into the intricacies of the surgery

Establish mentorships (ideally, one-on-one, if we can find enough surgeons) between students and community members in order to possibly get into research, shadowing, and simply receive advice about how best to prepare for applying for residency in that particular field

Put on community service events relating to the field of surgery
