Cardiology Interest Group

Mission Statement: to develop kindness and competence in the field of Cardiology through self-directed and collaborative efforts in practice and research. We recognize the beautiful symbolism of the heart as the core of the individual and a reflection of compassionate care. We intend to metaphorically fill our own hearts to be able to literally sustain the music of the beating hearts of others.

Current Board Members: Jacob Stoker (President), Sam Sullivan (Vice President), Chris Phillips (Secretary), Vinh Tran (Treasurer), Jessica Tran (Director of Community Outreach)

Activities: 

• Guest Speakers from the community.

• Workshops

  • Heart Sounds, Reading EKG’s, etc.

• Meetings (every other week)

• 2016 Sacramento Heart Walk

  • September 22, 24

• Downtown Walk to Thrive

  • 1-mile walk with a KP physician.
