Family Medicine Interest Group Leadership

Anthony Trinidad, M1

Hi there! My name is Anthony Trinidad, and I am from the Riverside, California. I went to UC Berkeley for my Bachelors in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology and a music minor and to Keck Graduate Institute for a Masters in Life Science. I’ve had some time to reflect on why I’ve wanted to go in medicine, and preventative medicine and managing chronic conditions have been aspects of medicine that interest me, leading me to family medicine. In my first year here at CNU, I have begun to grow my interest in family medicine! Outside of medicine, I enjoy music – listening, singing, and performing – cooking, and being outdoors.

Sophia Lee, M1

Hi!  My name is Sophia Lee, and I'm part of the CNU class of 2020!  I am from the Bay Area (Cupertino/Sunnyvale).  I got my bachelor's degree in Physiological Science from UCLA, then took several years off to complete a post-bac program and work before matriculating here.  I'm interested in Family Medicine because I have a passion for primary care, specifically the aspects of preventive health and longitudinal care of patients.  My hobbies include playing with my dog, reading, jigsaw puzzles, swimming, and Netflix!

Heather Cohen, M1

Hello, my name is Heather Cohen and I was born and raised in Sacramento. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Integrative Biology. I am drawn to family medicine because of the ability to take care of a wide range of ages, allowing me the opportunities to provide personal, continual care and to watch my patients grow and develop through the various stages of life. In addition, I enjoy the diversity of cases seen in family medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching basketball, photography, and video games.

Thomas Huey, M1

Hi everyone, my name is Thomas Huey. I grew up in the Bay Area (Oakland/Piedmont), and got my undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego. Prior to coming to CNUCOM, I spent some time working IFT as an EMT in the Easy Bay. Family medicine interests me due to its wide range of practice, both in the application of knowledge as well as the diversity of the patient population. Any spare time I have is spent with fuzzy animals of any variety

Preya Sheth, M1

Hello! My name is Preya Sheth and I am from San Jose/Fremont. I was born with a congenital heart defect, which sparked my interest in medicine from a really young age. I’ve jumped around a lot when it comes to what specialty I was most interested in so I figured I should focus on family medicine since its pretty all-encompassing. I decided to go to UC Davis for my bachelors, Rosalind Franklin for my masters, and now I am an M1 here at CNU! In my spare time I like to take naps, eat soup, and hike!
